-Serve as contact to the global sourcing offices. Communicate timelines, product specifications, coordinate shipping/receiving of prototypes and follow-up on resolution. -Gather, construct and analyze program financials as they relate to PD Proposals. -Attend Merchandising team meetings to provide updates for import programs concerning sourcing activities, timelines, YTD financial performance. -Initiate, track and ensure completion of sample development, testing, packaging, instruction manuals, branding and design work related to SKUs. -Serve as primary contact with global sourcing offices as needed to clarify issues, troubleshoot problems and ensure timely execution of tasks on project timelines. -Assist in the creation and delivery of PLR vendor presentations including product assembly, POG set, and presentation materials. -Develop and maintain acceptable knowledge of US Customs and Border Patrol issues and impact on sourcing activities. -Manage the testing of products.. -Work with the global sourcing offices in their efforts surrounding PD initiatives, and troubleshoot global sourcing issues. -Help prepare and deliver product proposals to Merchandising during PLR. Includes provisions for financial requirements, packaging, fixtures, store service and other related items. -Assist in the negotiations of product cost, lead-times, payment terms and any other import program costing variable. -Assist in capturing, documenting and communicating Merch 1-3 year import program development plan including import sales and margin budgets. -Analyze weekly import sales and margin performance v. budget and research anomalies. Work to make the necessary adjustments and recommendations needed to react to product performance.-Initiate and or attend meetings with Cross-functional areas. -Work to develop and strengthen relationships with direct factories, vendors, global sourcing offices and Merchandising. -Travel domestically and overseas as directed
