Ux Designer
Video Creative Specialist
I’ve worked in the marketing team for around 5 years now, working on internal comms, social media video, and client projects (e.g Avis, BP, Quorso & Abrantix). Projects range from simple video recording and editing to complex photo realistic 3D animation. I love creating fun animations and videos that are visually engaging and support the growth & integrity of the brand. 2D and 3D animation work is definitely the most exciting aspect of my role, but ultimately it’s the ability to be creative and tell compelling stories that I love the most.
Technical Artist
I have worked on a variety of different projects and utilised many different skills while I have worked at REPL Digital. One of my roles included retopologising photoscanned 3D models to exacting standards for retail clients such as DFS, and creating Vray materials for realistic renders.I oversaw the pipeline from render scene to final renders by creating scripts to automatically swap textures on models and send off to the render queue using Maxscript and Backburner. Another project has seen us create a range of realtime 3D model toys for Argos to use as part of their Augmented Reality catalogue. We had tight mesh and texture budgets while maintaining a faithful rendition of the toys they represented utilising the Aurasma app. This led on to us working with Argos again for their Kids Wishlist Christmas app, where we created all of the artwork from concept stage to full production using Unity to power the app.I have recently taken to working with After Effects to produce videos and motion graphics for our company as well as produce a youtube advert for the Argos Kids Wishlist app. I have also been creating a variety of photorealistic device 3D models to use within these videos, again modeled in 3ds Max and rendered with Vray.
Art Team Lead
Junior 3D Artist
Technical Artist
Gamercamp is a vibrant mock development studio, working closely with the Playstation First scheme, creating prototypes for greenlight with original Sony IP.I was the Technical Artist working in a team of four other artists and nine programmers. I used Maya for modeling environment pieces to the art style defined during the concept stage. During this phase I was responsible for researching the asset pipeline for Phyre Engine for the art team and creating assets for the game.Working with the Phyre Engine, I helped support the other artists if problems arose with exporting models as well as general help with using Maya. This included creating MEL scripts for use within the asset pipeline.I also liaised with programmers to help fix any problems that could occur from assets, causing errors further along the pipeline.Prior to the main Sony project we first worked in smaller teams to create a 2D Space Invaders style game in two weeks. I was the only artist on our team and created all of the art assets required using Maya and rendering sprites from 3D models. Our second project was to create an 2D Platformer, called “Revenge of the Ninja”, for the iPad. There were 2 artists in our team and I was responsible for creating the environment, both internal and external, and rigging characters ready for animating. Assets were again created in 3D using Maya and rendered to spritesheets.
