As part of the Junior Faculty Development Program funded by the US Department of State and administered by the American Councils for International Education ("ACTR/ACCELS"), Arevik Ohanyan served as a visiting scholar at the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College (CIHE). Following her time as a visiting scholar, she published two book chapters on case studies of Armenia. These chapters were included in distinguished scholarly works from the CIHE, namely "Paying the Professoriate: A Global Comparison of Compensation and Contracts" and "The Global Phenomenon of Family-Owned or Managed Universities.
