Chief Development Officer (Cdo)
Current• Responsible for creating a healthy team that is reliable and dedicated to the growth and support of each other• Provide opportunities for staff to set obtainable goals and offer regular feedback and follow-up guidance• Motivate others to perform at high levels and delegates projects as needed• Ensures all team members have the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to provide the collection of animals with the highest welfare standards in the industry and to meet and exceed AZA requirements for accreditation• Liaison for NEI and WDW partners• Ensure that animal welfare is prioritized and consistently maintained at the highest level possible at all show locations• Knowledge of all animals at the facilities and responsible for maintaining that knowledge as the collection fluctuates • Overseeing all training projects at WDW locations, staff of over 25 trainers and collection of over 200 birds• Responsible for show content and quality at both WDW locations as well as preforming on stage• Active consultant working with contracted zoological facilities, coaching training sessions, providing feedback and helping to design and implement protocol for training programs and creating high performance teams using ABA principals with people and animal learners• Key NEI TEC Faculty member creating regular web based and in person content as well as the co-host of the NEI TEC Talk Podcast released weekly with over 175 episodes to date
