At the General Medical Council (GMC) I help support the whole organisation as an IT Engineer and work with a great variety of people who have a fantastic range of skills. I also helped to support all the secure establishments throughout England and where the Manchester College delivers learning and skills services to offenders within the prisons. Whilst being employed by Fujitsu, my main responsibility was providing technical support for those who work for the Home Office. Such as caseworkers, Immigration staff and members of Parliament. During my time at Fujitsu managed to develop several skills. Whilst being employed by DSGi, my main responsibilities consisted of providing assistance in a customer facing environment. I worked throughout the whole store but then moved primarily onto the television and computing departments as this was my strong point. My main duties at DSGi included:• providing a positive experience for all customers.• stock management.• merchandising.• sales.• B2B.• PC Upgrades.• PC Repairs.• customer service.• troubleshooting. I was also involved in a lot of training sessions hosted by coaches from several companies, such as Intel, AMD, Belkin, Microsoft and HP during my time here.

I studied at Zenos IT whist working part time to become a Microsoft Certified Professional. This was achieved within the 6 months of being an apprentice there. During this time I made good contacts and gained a lot of experience which helped me start my career in IT.
