This culminated in annual discussions with Bill and Melinda, CEO and division presidents on external trends affecting the volume and focus of development aid deployed and their approval of annual plan for donor government partnerships in the North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.Focused on sustained political commitment to secure billions in financial resources for health and agriculture sectors in Sub-Saharan Africa and South/Southeast Asia. Led establishment of the foundation’s Berlin office in 2018 to deepen the partnership with the German government to advance multilateral support and bilateral co-funding. Strategic advisor to the foundation’s executive leadership team on the establishment of new offices and placement of staff in other donor countries as a member of a committee of Program, Finance, Legal, HR, Facilities, IT, and Security directors. Led analysis of economic and political environment in Southeast Asia to define engagement models for leveraging the foundation’s existing investment in countries without a foundation office. Oversaw donor government engagement in Japan, Australia and South Korea.

Building on the success and experience gained in the Seattle-based Global Health Policy & Advocacy strategy function, given responsibility for restructuring the India country office alongside the India country director to drive impact at scale.Led development of partnership strategy for India in collaboration with foundation Global Programs leadership and program teams. Approved by Bill and Melinda in March 2013, led to expanded investment of approx. $100M in annual investments in health, agriculture, financial inclusion and sanitation.Led implementation of partnership strategy engaging key ministries of the government of India and implementing partners to advance development priorities of India. This included restructuring the business model of the India country office to bolster alignment and efficiency of Seattle HQ and India based staff strategy planning and execution, investment and related measurement, learning and evaluation (MLE) related to center and state-level government and INGO partner engagement.Chartered, established and co-managed the leadership team to shore up quality of program leadership; established governance practices and trained and cultivated members as people managers to inculcate a culture of high performance, resilience and cohesion driven by diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).Provided oversight for tracking performance of strategy implementation and resource allocation relative to programmatic goals. Stakeholders included program & function teams, presidents, CEO and Co-Chairs.Led design and implementation of organizational structure for 50 staff based in India, including workforce planning, recruitment and talent management aligned with long-term objectives of the foundation.
