TECHNICAL & MANAGEMENT ASPECT OF MHC OPERATION & MAINTENANCE

 Looking after Barge trans shipper’s (03 no’s) operation for iron ore loading at sea by combination of cranes, conveyor system and ship loader Dry docking and repairing of trans shippers in India and Colombo shipyard Liebherr make LHM400, CBG35 and CBG30 crane operation, maintenance training.

• Responsible for operation of liebherr LHM 320 mobile harbour crane for container handling at kolkata port trust encompassing controlling 02 berth operation.• Undertook routine maintenance & maintenance scheduling of machines.• Manpower planning for the operation & maintenance of the crane & reach stacker.• Imparting training for operation & maintenance of liebherr LHM 320. • Maintaining liaison with port trust officials & shipping agents for operation of cranes, import/export of containers on ships & stacking/delivery of containers by reach stacker.

 Took care of repairing of ship machineries like diesel engine, pump, compressor etc while managing a team of 20 people Completed overhauling supervision of four stroke diesel engines (wartsila, man b&w, yanmar, mwm), pumps, heat exchangers, compressors (air & freon gas), winch etc. Ship-born equipment at the repair yard, workshop & onboard. Calibration of all parts, preparation of its reports & submission to quality control & to ship staff. Preparation of spare parts requisition, man power planning, work progress report & on completion of job submission of job description for invoice.

 Maintenance supervision of plant support equipment like chilling unit of batching plant, hydraulic til cranes & earth moving equipments.  Planning for monthly maintenance schedule, breakdown maintenance for next day operation of equipment. Arranging spares for maintenance with different vendor. Inspection of vehicles & its operation on daily basis.

 Responsible for entire marine activities both off-shore and ashore and oversaw installation, commissioning, testing & tuning, including planning preventive maintenance, overhauling, inventory control, defect analysis and rectification of following equipments & system: o Main propulsion & power generation diesel four stroke engines ( MAN, GREAVES-MWM, ASR-1, CUMMINS)o Centralized a/c & refrigeration plant including systems .o Petrol/diesel automobiles (heavy duty).o Compressors, pumps & valves, hydraulic (oil &water) systems and pneumatic systems.o Fire fighting& damage control equipment & systems.
