Our interests can lead us in strange directions.Growing up, computers were a muted but very real presence. I could readily say that any class computer-related was my favorite class. Naturally, I thought that my professional life would be dominated by a computer-related career.It therefore seems odd that I ended up in the pharmacy field. At the time, both fields seemingly had no direct relationship. Nowadays however, practically every field is related to computers. I will say that my time in pharmacy has helped foster a passion for helping people help others. I grew to appreciate proper applications of time management and project planning.My interest in computers never faltered, however. I jumped in and learned a bit of code, learned about network security, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and operating system hardening. I hope to continue to learn more about computers, networks, and security, as well as gain the opportunity to apply them.
