As a digital media/graphic design technician I work closely with a variety of equipment. I monitor equipment (wacom tablets, steinburg audio equipment, nikon cameras etc) as it is signed by students, keeping a close eye on inventory to make sure nothing gets lost or stolen.I'm also in charge of taking 3D files made by students and processing them for 3D printing, making sure that the topology is correct ie, no large overhangs, no gaps, and making sure that small parts are reenforced to ensure less chance of breakage. Apart from dealing with printing itself, I also do most of the servicing on the machines. Keeping up maintenance, be it cleaning, lubing, calibrating. I currently work with CubeX, Prusa i3 MK2, Zprinter 250, Project 2100, and Form Labs 2 printers.I am also in charge of cleaning and maintaining the Barracks building (2nd onsite building, for digtial media and graphic design departments). From cleaning classrooms, to servicing printers, to general tech support.
