Primary duties include animation for Crash Course; an educational YouTube channel that was partially funded by PBS. Crash Course covers a variety of topics including Computer Science, Theater, Economics, and Game History. Currently, the channel sits at over 10 million subscribers and over a billion views. In addition, did animation work for a variety of other clients such as Popular Science, CBC, The Water Brothers and Thought Café’s own educational YouTube channel.

Duties included style frames, title treatment design, animation, art direction andillustration for broadcast and web. Supervised 3D animation and often in charge of projects from start to completion. Also, acted as a camera assistant and data wrangler on live-action shoots.

Responsibilities included concept development, user interface design, animation and compositing for broadcast, DVD & Blu-ray menus, and key art for posters & packaging. Secondary responsibilities also included a significant amount of editing and minor sound work. Very fast paced environment with direct client contact. Clients included Maple Pictures, E1 Entertainment, Alliance Films, and Mongrel Media.

Summer internship in the MAD Magazine art department at DC Comics. First Canadian to intern at MAD Magazine. Responsibilities included photo and artwork touch-ups, retrieving archived artwork and article design. Redesigned a monthly running segment — a first for an intern in MAD’s history. As well, I was responsible for building a 3 - foot mobile that hung over the boardroom table at MAD Magazine.
