I am in the process of getting my BA in Merchandising at UNT. I have a strong interest in fashion and the fashion life cycle. I first became interested in fashion because of my desire to earn a degree in an art major, and then realized that I had a good eye for trends. I have a fundamental understanding of design elements, color coordination and key merchandising concepts. I genuinely enjoy working on projects relating to trends and bringing the right clothing pieces together and I hope to bring passion into my work. In addition to attending school I am currently building my retail experience. My work history is mostly retail, ranging from being a sales associate, cashier, or stocking floor member and from this I feel I am confident in my customer service skills and my ability to go above and beyond for a client. After graduation I am planning to attend a fashion school and focus on textiles. In my career I would like work in Product Development or Sourcing Creating displays, store layouts, and ordering merchandise for retailers is generally the type of work I would like to do in my future career. Short term, I would like to work until I am qualified to manage a store.
