It was my responsibility to consistently educate myself on increasing my knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. I was also given the great honor to style the looks and model line-up for our show in Charleston Fashion Week this past March. In the past, I have worked at ScanSource Inc. as their marketing and special events intern. My experience as an events intern at ScanSource carried well into my currently held position with Bits of Lace. My time at ScanSource helped me to effectively plan, organize, and successfully execute our Bits of Lace after party event that followed our show at Charleston Fashion Week.As an invite-only event, we brought together the movers and shakers of the Carolina’s fashion industry. Our guest list ranged from a variety of well-respected editors, stylists, photographers, publicists, consultants, bloggers, models, and loyal customers. Hosted at the posh Stars Rooftop and Grill Room, guests were greeted with complimentary cocktails, music, hor’devours, and gift bags filled with retail and restaurant specials! Models, wearing looks straight off the runway, entertained and posed with guests during the party. The ambiance of the room was recreated with furniture and amber up-lighting from EventWorks, Ooh!Events, and EventHaus,. Ornamenting the walls were larger than life posters from our vendors, Marie Jo and Prima Donna!
