I am a third generation seamstress who completed my diploma in fashion design in 2012. I was born into a family of craftspeople including leather workers, hat weavers, milliners and dressmakers. I have worked in the Textile, Clothing and footwear industry as both a business owner and also as an employee from the age of 18. I began sewing at the age of 11 and learnt the trade of sewing and patternmaking from that age. After certification my work has been showcased at numerous events and on television including work I have sampled for other leading and up and coming designers. Now working as a designer dressmaker, I specialise in custom alterations to bridal dresses as well as custom dresses for special events. I'm very interested in all aspects of the fashion industry and have completed a diploma in fashion design with Tafe NSW. As well as a short course in fashion illustration at Whitehouse Sydney. I am a keen fashion and culture blogger often blogging about my own one off designs, local restaurants or custom pieces.I design in my spare time and am available to create hand drawn illustrations. I am also a freelance pattern maker for various Fashion labels who require pattern making or grading services. I am a specialist in shaped grading.
