• Focus on maximizing encounters with other healthcare professionals and patients by working decentralized in cardiac and surgical patient care areas. Provide drug information, follow dosing protocols, perform medication histories/reconciliation and verify orders.• Provide pharmaceutical oversite and guidance for the entire hospital• Provide decentralized drug distribution (Pyxis) service, controlled substance distribution, and facilitation of home medication appropriate storage/security.
