Receptionist/Bookkeeper
As the receptionist:• Answer and place telephone calls quickly, efficiently, and courteously using multi-line telephone systemas well as receive and transmit messages accurately and promptly using email, phone, and fax• Greets clients as soon as they arrive in the office in a professional and friendly manner• Quickly and accurately verify and enters customers’ personal information into software.• Schedule appointments, conferences and meetings with clients for office personnel• Update and maintain appointment calendar for office personnel• Compose emails/memos/correspondence for transmittal to clients• Assist in preliminary data entry and document collection to support an efficient and positive taxpreparation experience.• Regularly work with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature while following properprocedures.• Handle, route and maintain organization of incoming and outgoing documents.• Scan and upload all documents to client profile• Assisting in maintaining a clean and inviting workplace, this may include removal of trash, vacuumingor sweeping, cleaning counters, cleaning glass, etc.As the bookkeeper:• Recording transactions: Keeping track of purchases, expenses, sales, invoices, and payments primarilyusing Quickbooks online and Excel• Categorizing transactions and reconcile accounts with bank statements.• Assisting with payroll: Running payroll and tracking payroll dataAssisting with parts of the tax return process:• Organizing all client tax documents in a specific order and make sure they get scanned and uploadedto the clients profile correctly• Get clients to sign e-file authorization form 8879, uploaded it to client profile• Efile returns in tax software, make sure they are accepted and complete workflow steps in client profile• File business and personal tax extensions in tax software• File PIR reports on Texas Comptroller website
