Having 25 years of assistive technology education experience, I am currently an AT specialist for a Maryland school system where we evaluate students for the most effective AT tools available to better access educational curriculum. My experience deals with both low and high incidence students needing communication support with AAC devices, AT support to access curriculum due to vision, hearing and physical limitations and AT support emphasizing UDL access in the classroom, available to all students. I work closely with assessing, training, implementing, consulting and troubleshooting the needs of AT for students. Furthermore, training and consulting with teachers and parents is a large part of this job to further implementation of the AT recommendations. I am a collaborator, team player and a visionary with excellent interpersonal and written skills.
Listed skills include Classroom, Special Education, Educational Technology, Staff Development, and 8 others.
