This is Me, Ashley Kerry Harper, a 24 year old woman currently living and working in Cape Town. I pride myself with my people skills, and thrive in all aspects of my life when I am able to work withand be surrounded by other people with an array of views and opinions. Communicating, developing, and learning with and from one another is something that I am passionate about. I am an enthusiastic team player and enjoy diving head first into new and exciting opportunities. I am confident in my work ethic and self-motivation and strive to excel in all that I do within every facet of my life. I enjoy a challenge and continuously set goals for myself to chase, constantly seeking new ways in which I can better myself, grow, and learn.My nature can be described as outgoing and social, optimistic, candid, and responsible. I carry a “glasshalf full” type of attitude in life, focussing on the good in people and situations. One of the things that pay attribute to my nature is my relationships, which I place a great emphasis on, and I am always excited by the opportunity to make new connections with people.During my school years I can candidly say that I excelled. I involved myself in all aspects of school life. I played both provincial water-polo and Netball, sport was my passion, and when I got to lead some of my teams I realised my passion and skill for rallying and leading people. In grade twelve I was appointed as Deputy Head girl, an achievement I am extremely proud of. My position taught me many skills about working with people, looking at various perspectives, public speaking, and so much more. During my university years I have lived a balanced student life, studying, waitressing, tutoring andmaking memories and friendships that will last me a lifetime. Leaving the comfort of home andthe bubble of privilege I lived in at the young age of eighteen has allowed me to open my eyes tosome of the harsh realities of the real world, forcing my perspective of the world to broaden.
