I was a Senior leader for the Center for Life Science Education's new biology education program called Peer-Led Team Learning or PLTL. I had the pleasure of leading weekly workshops with a group of college biology students that helped to retain fundamental biology concepts throughout their undergraduate years. This Ohio State course used group activities to focus on self-learning, meta-cognition, and developing problem solving skills as well as scientific literacy.

I had the opportunity to work with a handful of design engineers at Hydrotech, Inc. and learned to use several software applications such as 2016 AutoDesk Professional suite which includes: Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical and the Vault. With these new technical skills I was able to help create, edit, and publish several production drawing packages for the company's custom hydraulic units. This required 3D drawing in Inventor, creating hydraulic circuit schematics and Bill of Materials in AutoCAD Electrical.During this internship I also became familiar with the engineering documentation process of using an online project management site that allows for instant communication about the progress of each project with the other engineers, the sales representative, as well as the project manager.

I taught students k-12 and college level at Mathnasium in Mason, Ohio. As an instructor, my goal was to help my students better understand math by introducing the Mathnasium Method which utilized a combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile, and written strategies within a customized learning plan to help students improve their math skills, confidence, and problem-solving strategies.
