I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. During my time at UGA, I was honored with numerous accolades and invitations to prestigious honor societies such as the Phi Alpha Delta Society of Scholars, all while managing a rigorous course load. My journey into the legal realm began with an internship at the Athens District Attorney's office, where I had the privilege of working alongside the Honorable Judge Lott. This experience provided me with invaluable insights into criminal prosecution and defense, as well as case summarization and attorney assistance. It was during this time that I discovered my profound passion for the law. Although the timing wasn't right for law school immediately following my undergraduate studies, I channeled my newfound passion into a career as a Paralegal at Shires, Peake, and Gottlieb LLC. Here, I have the opportunity to draft legal documents and assist Partner Kevin T. Shires with cases involving prominent clients. Each day, I'm further honing my skills and expanding my knowledge of the legal field. My ultimate goal is to attend law school starting in the fall of 2025, and pursue a career as an attorney. However, I'm committed to my duties as a paralegal and fostering personal growth before taking that next step.
