This internship helped build my proficiency in important public relations tools like Cision, Alexa, press clipping, graphic design and social media building. I worked on an Industry Report each morning that covered a run down of the days most important news in the areas of the entertainment industry including platforms, content, and influencers. Once a week I worked on a Weekly Digest which broke down the weeks top news in beauty, pop culture, the industry, and viral news.

This internship gave me experience in all areas of journalism and even some in public relations. I did two different online segments for the company, which are attached below. I researched, wrote and hosted these segments. I did a lot of writing and researching for the company, especially for specific tasks assigned to me by an employee. For example, some of the writing was for articles for the Movieguide website, and some of the writing was for newsletters or writing in excel sheets. I also wrote a script for Movieguide's on-camera host to do a segment on. Additionally, I worked a lot with the social media of the company specially on improving the Instagram account and promoting the brand through that platform.

As a Guest Services Agent this summer I worked particularly as the concierge for the Fairmont Miramar Beach Club. I made all the reservations and scheduling for guests to experience our beach club. This job was a hospitality learning experience as I worked right in the lobby greeting and helping any guest with anything they might need, as well as coordinating beach club reservations.

All Things Malibu gave me the opportunity to work on my writing, researching, and interviewing skills. My main job throughout the summer was revamping the website, changing, and adding to the descriptions of the different areas on the site. The website lists shopping, dinning, activities, and surf in Malibu. I added every store, restaurant, upcoming activity, and surf go to spots in Malibu to the website and often times interviewed owners or employees of these places.
