- Designed and developed a Mine Scheduling module for the Digital Operations Planning system. The Scheduling module imported mining/scheduling/maintenance plans from users, transformed them, via a configurable dynamic mapping, into a standard activity model to allow for any type of plan to be analysed and compared across the Anglo American business structure.- Represented Digital Operations Planning on the Architecture group and was responsible for the scale-out parallel processing architecture for simulations and long running processes.

- Solution Architect, and Area Product Owner for Interoperability, for the Integrated Autonomous Mining Platform (iMAP) program. Responsible for the overall architecture of the system, defining the methods and solutions for an open, interoperable autonomy platform, where multiple vendors would plug a subsystem into the overall system. Additionally, managed the Interoperability and Testing team and was responsible for ensuring that all solutions meet the overall architectural goals of BHP.- Defined the system architecture to integrate using a series of interface gateways which would be responsible for connecting subsystems using a prescribed set of messages. These gateways also handled security and auditing, provided observability into the operation of the system and enabled a method of automatically testing subsystems within continuous integration and delivery pipelines.- The program took a Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) approach which required all solution definitions to be collaboratively modelled (using Cameo Systems Modeler) with multiple vendors across global time zones. All subsystem integrations were modelled in terms of activities each subsystem was responsible for, and the messages that each subsystem would be required to publish and subscribe to.- From this defined model, implemented a message generation process to enable both Robot Operating System (ROS) based, and DDS based, subsystems to integrate utilizing the generated messages.

- Architect and development lead for a series of internal applications including: a tier-1, highly-available and reliable, integration platform to enable applications to integrate with the Department records management system; a workflow tracking system with significant requirements in auditing and access control; and the replacement systems for police clearances and working with children compliance checks.- Completed a project proposal to rearchitect the future state of the school and student data warehouse applications with a focus on a unified, consistent experience for users and the enabling of greater exploration by users of the available data. The proposal included adoption of a microservice-based architecture realigning capabilities around business domains.- All systems required requirements analysis and documentation working closely with the business stakeholders and intended user base.- Each system was developed and tested using DevOps best practices to ensure a smooth transition when the Department adopts a cloud-based platform.

- Architect for the Scheduling Systems Foundation project as part of RTIO's Technical Systems Transformation programme. Responsible for defining the platform, software patterns and development practices that future applications being developed at RTIO would be required to build upon.- Delivered a series of services to enable continuous delivery of applications aligned with the proposed patterns utilising the existing Stash, TeamCity, NuGet and Octopus Deploy already in use at RTIO.- Produced a rapid prototype of a web-based port scheduling system including dynamic, interactive graphical UI to prove the suitability and performance of the defined platform.- Designed and documented an approach to scheduling data creation, storage and maintenance to allow multiple users and groups, from pit to port, to work on multiple schedules simultaneously including publishing and merging of various independent schedule changes while allowing for independent scheduling business rules and validation.

Project was delivered within timeframes and budget.- Worked with the Enterprise Architecture group to ensure project, processes and documentation met all applicable standards and requirements. Collaborated on design and integration with both internal and external agencies to meet targeted milestones.- Planned, executed and documented results of both functional and performance testing throughout development phase of the project.- Coached and led an agile team involving developers, testers, and business analysts on from both the project team and client.- Collaborated with all involved parties to ensure a smooth transition and project continuity when Water Corporation changed IT vendors from CSC to IBM/Kinetic.

- Designed the solution and led the development that introduced an updated UI and an Ajax-based foundation to the Asgard Java platform and provided implementations of customer and account searching.- Replaced the existing fee estimation module for the core Asgard Java software platform with a more flexible implementation. The project was turned around from being behind schedule to being delivered on time and with less resources then originally estimated.- Integrated reporting between the Westpac Asgard and BT platforms providing linked account data between the platforms via web services.

- Responsible for designing and leading development of a platform to generate school reports from student and school assessment data. The report generation system centrally generated and stored student reports for all schools across the state. This included a web application module for configured printing options and templates. The report generation duration was reduced from 12 hours per year group per school to completing in 20 minutes. The reports generated Word or PDF documents which allowed the templates to be managed by the business.- Implemented a series of web application modules using GWT to manage student assessments and results. These modules included significant custom components developed to manage the scale of the data the schools generate.

- Built a team to tender for and implement projects for small businesses using the Apache OfBiz CRM/ERP suite.- Successfully developed and delivered a complete Apache OfBiz ERP implementation including custom holiday home accommodation and membership management modules, MYOB integration and ABA file format integration for Apache OfBiz allowing a customer to replace three management systems with a single integrated package.

Implemented a document generation framework for determining and generating the required documentation for consumer mortgages. The framework generated Postscript files from the documents, converted them to varying formats, and directed them to various departments, printing services and systems via OracleAQ queues. This enabled BankWest to automate its mortgage and customer documentation workflow allowing redeployment of their processing department.Defined a new web service architecture for the LendNet system which would enable deeper integration of the LendNet application with internal bank systems and external parties.

- Provided development assistance to the CAPSPEED project at WA Police Department through its system integration and user acceptance testing phases. This included developing and enhancing messaging between the CAPSPEED system, the Police mainframe and other government department systems.- Designed and developed an integration module for BlueScope Steel to receive data output from quality tests through MQSeries, convert this data and load it into the laboratory results web application. Following the completion and rollout assisted the web development team to complete the results web application.

- Designed and developed a drop-in module for Seibel's enterprise mobile phone billing system to allow customers to categorise their phone calls and messages meeting all of the critical requirements for scalability and performance. Work was completed remotely followed by on-site handover and testing with the US-based core team.

- Integrated the BankWest LendNet application with the BankWest mainframe for customer financial information, opening and revising loan accounts and issuing credit cards. Enhanced the integration of LendNet with the Central Processing System using OracleAQ. Extended the calculations LendNet performs during the customer liabilities assessment process to support negative gearing.- Delivered the MQ2 application for BHPBilliton IronOre unifying the stockpile management of iron ore across the mine sites in the North West of WA. This included developing the ore blending algorithms used to model the crushing and stockpile processes.- Designed and developed an extension to the PegsTour Hotel Search and Booking System web services module for Pegasus Solutions USA allow multiple hotel bookings over a single transaction.- Developed the user interface for the electrical networks planning application for Western Power.- Implemented an online store for the Kangaroo Creek Gang web site.- Developed a golf round scoring and reporting module for the MiClub golf club management application.
