Provides direct patient care in various acute care settings within the hospital (e.g., Med-Surg, Neuro, Oncology, etc.), including but not limited to: total patient care, ambulation, vital signs, EKGs, POCT glucose, phlebotomy, collection of lab specimens, and accurate documentation in Epic.

-Provide basic care to patients with clinical competence.-Assist RNs with patient care tasks and other supportive duties specific to the acute care setting. -Prioritize excellent customer service and emphasize the values of Thompson Health (Commitment, Action, Respect, Excellence, and Service).

-Set up for, supervise, and take down Hobart and William Smith athletic team practices and games.-Help maintain cleanliness and order in the Training Room and assist Athletic Trainers where needed.

-Assist William Smith College Deans wherever needed (eg. answering phones, filing paperwork, responding to emails, etc.)-Help and facilitate communication between students, parents, faculty, and administrators

-Collaborate with first-year students to develop their writing skills in the context of their freshman seminar.-Adapt to individual students’ levels and styles of writing to help them reach their full potential as writers.-Facilitate communication between faculty, Writing Colleague Program directors, and students.

-Developed and conducted three ten-week summer research projects over three summers looking at methylmercury levels and harmful algal blooms (HABs) in the Finger Lakes.-Worked collaboratively with other student researchers and assisted with the collection, processing, and analysis of water and biological samples from several of the Finger Lakes.-Cleaned and organized field and laboratory equipment.
