As a Care Coordinator at my current employer, River Edge Behavioral Health Center, I have had the opportunity to work alongside the neglected members of society such as homeless individuals, those affected by substance use, those who are unemployed, as well as children, adults, and elderly clients. My ability to complete mental health assessments and evaluations has helped me to develop the skills required to not only improve professionally as a social worker, but also as an individual. During my time as a Clinical Case Coordinator at Georgia Mentor, a Department of Family and Children Services aligned agency, I was able to connect with the children I cared for and provide them with an emotionally, mentally, and physically safe place while also curating treatment plans and plans of care to suit each client individually. I also advanced in my electronic documentation systems through both job positions as well as my time as an intern. Social Work has been a passion of mine for years and I love that I get to encounter new situations and clients who continue to open my eyes to the hardships in our communities.
