Because of the sensitive and expensive nature of these devices, they need to be monitored 24/7. Even at the dead of night, Operations Analysts are the first line of defense OIT has when things go wrong and have the important responsibility of involving those who can resolve the issue.

The Operations and Support Center at BYU is the main tech-support team for the entire BYU campus. Faculty, students, and family members around the world can call in for BYU related tech-support 24/7. Positions and extra responsibilities:- Senior Analyst: As a more experienced analyst, I was responsible with aiding my coworkers around me in helping the users who called in and making sure the office was providing legendary service.- Team Lead: I was chosen to lead a group of 5-6 other employees, helping them be the be the best employees they could and get the most out of work. This was accomplished by creating a friendly and supportive work environment, bi-weekly one-on-one meetings to discuss training progress and concerns about the job, and organizing fun activities in the office. I also worked closely with full-time managers, reporting the progress of my team members and helping communicate new policies and directions to my team.
