TechLead+Manager for a team of 8 SWEs.Designed and built Service Registry (SRL): A fast, compile time safe, Swift-ObjectiveC cross-compatible, dependency injection framework for iOS (and other Apple platforms). SRL enables large iOS codebases to be cleanly modularized and follow SOLID principles, increasing long term maintainability, testability, code health, and overall developer velocity.Convinced the major Google apps such as YouTube, Search, Gmail, Photos, to adopt SRL. This required significant incremental refactors of their legacy codebases; co-designed (and convinced leadership about) these migration plans.Co-founded RPC and Identity/Account frameworks for iOS apps at Google, unifying multiple legacy systems built by disparate teams. Both have now become the de-facto standard for Google iOS apps.

TechLead+Manager for the Google+ iOS app.TechLead for an internal framework (GSCore) to share components across G+, Photos and Hangouts apps.After a major re-org in mid 2014, most of the original G+ team left. I took over as the new lead, and re-grew the team from 4 to 17 SWEs. During this phase, I also led the re-write of the G+ iOS app to meet new requirements under a short deadline (11 months), and shipped on time while ramping up a very new team.
