A Chartered Telecommunications Engineer with an extensive experience in the field of Telecommunications systems planning, operation and maintenance together with thorough international exposure gained by collaborating with International Telecom operators, vendors and investors for project implementation in multi-cultural engineering environments.ENGINEERING:• Industry knowledge and experience in provisioning, installing, integrating, commissioning, operating, optimising, and maintaining optical core/access fibre networks, Ethernet radio networks and related element management systems. • Solid knowledge and practical experience in planning, designing, deploying and field operations of DWDM based terrestrial and submarine optical cable systems.• Demonstrated experience in delivering and troubleshooting end-to-end L1 & L2 services for local & international customers adhering to standards recommended by ITU-T & IETF.• Solid knowledge and demonstrated experience in identifying, analysing and fixing telecommunications systems, optical fibre and radio faults.• Exceptional experience in working with Ciena, Nokia, Alcatel, NEC, Huawei, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, ZTE optics products and NEC, 4RF, Harris, Nokia radio systems.• Experience in leading technical evaluation committees assigned for POC, field trials and for tenders related to telecommunication infrastructure products and tools.• Drafting technical specifications, Request for Proposals, carrying out technical negotiations, deployment and testing of new network devices, systems and test equipment.• Solid experience in using and analysing results of OSA, Power Meter/Source, OTDR, SDH/OTN Analysers, VFL, LFD, Fibre Microscope.• Solid understanding of networking and data communications technologies such as Ethernet, SDN, IP/VPN, MPLS, Wi-Fi-,4G LTE, 5G, PDH, SDH, OTN, DWDM, HFC, FTTx and nbn MTM.• Proficient in drafting and understanding engineering drawings, network design documentation & project documentation using MS Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Projects, Google Earth and AutoCAD.PROJECT MANAGEMENT:•Demonstrated project management skills in delivering telecommunications infrastructure development and operational projects.
