Employed by Seqirus a CSL company, the world’s second largest influenza vaccine provider. I will be assisting in the construction of a new world-class biotech manufacturing facility in Australia which will supply influenza vaccines to Australians and the rest of the world.This state-of-the-art facility will use innovative cell-based technology to produce influenza vaccines for use in both influenza pandemics and seasonal vaccination programs – and will be the only cell-based influenza vaccine manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere.I am proud and honored to be a part of great company and important project, able to assist the lives of community, citizens of Australia and world by manufacturing products which will keep us safe. Core to my work will be to ensure that the Formulation, Filling, Inspection, Packaging equipment is producing and supplying life changing drugs to our customers patients and all Australians. The project I am working on will also deliver a facility which will manufacture Seqirus’ proprietary adjuvant MF59® - a substance added to some vaccines to improve immune response and to reduce the amount of antigen needed for each vaccine, enabling more doses to be manufactured more rapidly.In addition, the project will deliver a facility which will produce unique products important to Australia’s public health needs – including and not limited to; antivenom for Australian snakes, spiders and marine creatures, and the world’s only human vaccine for Q-Fever.
