As a FIFO Fitter with an engineering background, I play a crucial role in the construction and development of a state-of-the-art carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility in Moomba, South Australia. My position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, dedication, and adaptability, as you will be working remotely on a rotational basis. This role is critical to the success of the CCS project, aiming to significantly reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change.Key Responsibilities:• Pipework and Flange Management: Oversee and execute the installation, inspection, and maintenance of pipework systems and flanges, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards. • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on all work performed, ensuring it adheres to the highest industry standards and project requirements. Identify any issues or discrepancies and take corrective actions as necessary. • Deadline Adherence: Work efficiently under tight schedules to meet project deadlines without compromising on quality or safety. Contracting within the manufacturing industry specialising in Mechanical Engineering Support. Plant and Equipment fault diagnosis and recovery, OEE and machine capability improvement. Working alongside experienced engineers, in-house alongside current shift technical engineers, reducing workload and giving a fresh vision adopted by a more varied industry experienced skill set.
