About Andy Taylor

Andy Taylor, AICP is the Manager of Regional Planning and Analytics at the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), where he provides leadership for the regional planning and implementation team, as well as the data science and analytics team – connecting local and regional decision-makers to the information and resources they need to make life better in the Denver region.Prior to joining the staff at DRCOG, Andy served in various roles with the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) in Columbus regarding regional development and transportation. He was also a part of the Auxiliary Faculty in the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University, developing and teaching the school’s first semester-long course in Metropolitan and Regional Planning. Before his career as a regional planner, Andy served a variety of local governments and other clients in Ohio while working at Lincoln Street Studio, an architecture and planning firm.Andy has over 18 years of experience in the planning profession, specializing in transportation planning, long range planning, zoning, and land use forecasting. He is certified through the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). He has a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska.
