University of Scranton graduate with four years of work experience in the legal field. While interning at both Barrasse Law and Kochis Law, I worked closely with staff on cases related to Family Law, Guardianships, Minor Civil Suits, and Criminal Defense. I developed phenomenal digital and traditional organizational skills during my time at these firms, in addition to other relevant legal skills such as billing and filing documents in both District and Circuit Courts. During my internship at Kochis Law in particular, I focused on the draft of documents integral to Criminal Law proceedings, including but not limited to Motions in Limine, Anders Briefs, Motion to Dismiss, Motion for Release on Bail, Motion to Modify Bail, and Requests for Continuance. I became experienced in the necessary functions of successful law firms and the importance of Attorney-Client Relationships. In addition to my experience in the Legal field, I spent several months interning for Senator Robert Casey in the legislative branch of government. The Scranton, PA office where I interned focused primarily on constituent services. Amid an increasingly divided political culture, I practiced conflict resolution daily while communicating with frustrated constituents. I drafted briefs for staff in Washington D.C. on Armed Forces and Biotechnology Senate Committee Hearings. I also drafted numerous letters to Constituents and created biographies for individuals meeting with Senator Casey. I spent the past four years at the University of Scranton as a Dean Scholar, completing my Double Major in Philosophy and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Legal Studies. While at the University of Scranton, I have had the privilege of participating in the University of Scranton's prestigious Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program (SJLA), which has allowed me to foster my philosophical curiosity, Jesuit values, and academic success. Recently, I was selected as a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Alpha Phi Sigma. During my Sophomore year at the University of Scranton, I was a recipient of the Purple Club Scholarship for Lackawanna County Residents who demonstrated academic excellence. I am a member of the Pre-law society and a dedicated Resident Assistant for Sophomores.
