The Visual Arts Development Association (Singapore) (VADA) was conceived in response to the growing need for an independent, not-for-profit arts organisation to service the needs of the burgeoning Singapore visual arts industry. VADA's in-built capability allows it to take the lead in developing platforms and opportunities for those individuals who will represent Singapore nationally and internationally in the visual arts.VADA is a not-for-profit arts organisation and registered association with the Registry of Societies.As President, I oversee strategy, build bridges and cultivate community within the visual arts network and associated partners across industries.

Created in response to the loneliness of the original COVID-19 lockdowns, Take Back The Nights was originally conceived as a music concert livestream series to allow musicians and technicians the dignity of earning a living while their usual music stages were dark and silent. When it became clear that livestreams were not adequately allowing musicians and technicians to get paid, Take Back The Nights pivoted into the metaverse - a fully interactive and immersive music festival experience was created in a video game world using Unreal Engine. Festival goers could customise their own avatars, meet their friends at a stage of their choosing in real time, select which music acts to watch from a variety of stages, play games within the game, enjoy in-world art exhibitions, and order food and beverage in the metaverse which would then be delivered to their homes. As the world opens up again, Take Back The Nights pivots again, this time to the phygital/ hybrid events that bridge IRL and Web3. As the co-founder of Take Back The Nights, I conceived the original plan and subsequent pivots; pulled the original team of volunteers together for the livestream; curated the acts; managed the logistics for on set production; sourced for funding for the programmes; worked with designers and web providers for the building of the metaverse; managed project timings; trained artist liaison officers; trained media relations officers; set media strategy; oversaw brand partnerships.

Moderator of a 12,000 member (and growing) Facebook group for Singapore's creative and cultural industry workers. I work with the team to update the community on government directives, grants and the like impacting the creative sector in Singapore in a post-COVID-19 world. I also hosted a 3-hour weekly series of Clubhouse discussions during the height of COVID-19 lockdowns on a plurality of issues impacting creative and cultural industry workers in Singapore and the region, moderating talks ranging from legal issues; to business etiquette; to how to collaborate. My Clubhouse rooms attracted arts practitioners, arts administrators from the government and quasi-governmental spaces and regional thought leaders.

Hola Mona NFT is a collaboration between 3 career fine-artists with more than 20 years of individual experience in the fine art world, and a digital PR maven. The generative set of 1,503 NFTs has its proof of ownership on the Solana blockchain, marrying the best of fine art with a cheeky commentary on the world's obsession for great apes in profile pictures.As a collaborator, I added writing to the visual art elements (I wrote copy for their website and social media); hosted the Twitter Live sessions; oversaw brand development and strategy; sought media partnerships; and managed personalities.

Bringing to fruition the desires of the winner of a reality tv cooking contest to create, Restaurant Ibid paid tribute to the Nanyang Style linked with the Singapore visual art movement by combining French techniques with classical Chinese flavours, all framed with local Southeast Asian ingredients. I built the restaurant concept; framed the identity of both the cuisine and the branding; oversaw building of the product identity from scratch (including design; visual merchandising; PR and marketing direction); shepherded logistical decisions (including venue rental; managing restaurant booking partners; securing brand resource partners to provide discounts to the restaurant); sourcing media partnerships; and managed the celebrity chef. In addition to this, I also ran front of house daily, managing restaurant reservation bookings; customer service; setting up the restaurant for daily service and closing up afterwards.
