I am interested in connecting with current professionals to discuss potential career opportunities, grow my network, and discuss with like-minded individuals.I am a third-year honors student studying Accounting at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My decision to pursue accounting was inspired by my proficiency and passion for mathematics and my aptitude for organization. I aspire to build a successful career in finance and accounting centered on personal growth and motivated by a fervent desire for an elevated level of accomplishment. Through my education at UNC Charlotte, I have and will continue to develop accounting and financial-related hard skills. These include but are not limited to:- Creating financial statements- Reconciling financial statements- Analyzing financial reportsI have also become adept in programs such as:- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint- Google Suite (i.e. Google docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, Sites)Some of my soft skills include resilience, critical thinking, integrity, and additional interpersonal and professional skills relating to collaboration and professional networking. My commitment to overachievement and attention to detail set me apart from other applicants and these attributes inspire my impressive work ethic.Along with being a full-time student, I recently completed an internship at a Corvid Technologies, a government contracts company in Mooresville, NC. Through this opportunity I:- Gained experience in relevant accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Deltek- Assisted with a variety of business operations including but not limited to the accounting close, pricing estimates, and invoicing- Created a new pricing template to be implemented throughout the companyIn addition, applying for and acquiring this internship offered valuable experience with interviewing and onboarding and gave me confidence to head into a new applied-educational experiences and, eventually, a career.These educational and professional experiences have better prepared me to enter the business-professional world following my graduation from UNC Charlotte in Fall 2025.
