I am passionate about community wellness and committed to self improvement to better serve my community. I am determined to use my privilege and education to advance my work within the Native CDFI field to resource underserved communities for the self determination of communities. I earned significant experience in grants management, program management, creating/facilitating culturally relevant materials for underserved communities, and built out my communication skills to effectively manage internal/external stakeholders. I taught over 150 classes in rural Alaska with culturally relevant materials I developed, secured resources for community via grant writing and grant making, and built out small business resources for underserved communities. In response to the pandemic, I led efforts to deploy over 27 million dollars in Covid Relief grant programs to local businesses and nonprofits.Prior to my career in community development, I earned a background in Human Resources where I administered benefits to over 12,000 employees, supported recruitment, compensation, and employee relations. In my spare time, I pursue my other passions of improving access to education, supporting healthy living, local food systems, and sharing equitable access to resources.
