As a Salesforce enthusiast with 400+ Trailhead badges and 15 Salesforce certifications, I can confidently say that I love Salesforce! Although my background in Biology and Entomology may seem like a far cry from technology, I discovered a passion for data during my time in grad school, which led me down an unexpected path.In grad school, I used R to build logistic models to describe bee foraging behavior. Then during my time as an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow, I taught myself Python and Tableau so I could compile student information on attendance and grades to tailor support for their specific needs. At that point, I was absolutely in love with data and how it could be used to help people. Then as the Director of Reporting and Analytics at Healthy Community Initiative (HCI), I continued using my data analysis skills to streamline data entry, standardize reporting processes, and provide insights into youth development program data to drive continuous improvement. When I started at HCI, program staff were using a data tracking system that was difficult to use and not easy to customize. As a result, many staff turned to spreadsheets to track data for their programs. When I had the opportunity to choose a new platform for data tracking, I did my research and ultimately landed on Salesforce. Now I am a Salesforce Consultant at Elevation Solutions supporting Nonprofit and Education clients and loving every minute of it!
