Raised in a small town in Texas, I grew up with 3 siblings. I spent most of my time playing sports, doing yard work, and playing video games. I enjoy anything outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc. I practice guitar (when I have time). I am married and have a 2-year-old daughter.I joined the military 6 months after high school as a Munitions Specialist. I was stationed in South Korea, Hawaii, and Utah. I learned many valuable skills such as time management, attention to detail, work ethic, and professionalism. I spent my years assembling munitions from bombs and missiles to flares and other countermeasures. Throughout my time, I did a lot of computer work, which I used to dislike. I ended up enjoying the time spent working on jobs and programs on the computer. I also took part in storage and coordinating such munitions operations. I also ran a ground safety program that I was very proud of. It had very high-quality assurance pass rates and prevented numerous injuries. I am currently studying computer science, but am still a little undecided on my career path. I am halfway towards a computer science degree at the University of North Texas. I have a strong love for safety and would like to work in that field again. I interned at a company doing software development and grew to like that as well. I learned the basics of Java and JavaScript. My love for computer science started with video games oddly enough. I always thought it was so cool that code could make something I enjoy so much. For my future, I would like to find a job in either of those fields and make it my career. Eventually working my way up to management, which is my end goal.
