I serve as a crew member on a 10 person IA hand crew as a skilled wildland firefighter. Competent in carrying out specialized assignments such as tree falling, backfire, and burnout operations; Capable of proficiently using a variety of specialized tools, equipment and techniques while actively managing wildfires. Able to perform all aspects of wildland and prescribed fire operations including preparation, ignition, monitoring, holding and mop-up. Proficient in gathering and considering information on weather data, topography, fuel types and fire behavior in responding to wildland fire incidents. Qualifications: IS-100 ICS Orientation, S-130 Firefighter Training, L-180 Human Factors on the fireline, S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire, S-131 Firefighter Type 1, S-133 Look up, Look Down, Look Around, S-219 Firing Operations, L-280 Follower ship to leadership, and Completion of S-212 chainsaw operator (A -Apprentice Sawyer). I am currently a firefighter type I trainee and Incident commander type 5 trainee.
