I've been living in Mexico since 2011 as a community development worker in the area of disability services. In 2014, I cofounded Eternal Anchor, an NGO dedicated to alleviating the suffering caused by disability in rural Mexico and combating the systems and stigmas that prevent people with disabilities from being celebrated and included as valued members of the community. As Executive Director, I have the privilege of working alongside an amazing team of local leaders who are passionate about disability rights. Together, we coordinate the operations of a special needs children's home, a special education school, an adult life skills program, a mobility workshop, social work services, and a horse therapy center.
