As a Data Scientist specializing in Analytics and Modeling, I love working with R, and I have experience with SAS, Matlab, Python, SQL, Gephi, Github, Power BI Dashboards and Spark. I have a background in Biomedical Science and Neuroscience where I focused primarily on electrophysiology and the kinetics of AMPA-type glutamate receptors. For my biomedical graduate studies, I used Pymol to visualize crystal structures of protein channels and molecular biology to make point mutations to explore channel gating properties. Using electrophysiology with AMPA modulators and Igor Pro, I was able to measure and model channel kinetics. For my post doctoral study, I learned how to apply single-channel recording to these AMPA-type glutamate receptor analyses. I also have experience with scientific journal editing as well as teaching neuroscience at the college undergraduate level and teaching math and biology at the K-8 level. I am a lifelong learner and looking for an internship or part-time contract work where I can continue to grow my new skills in Statistics and Data Science.
