I have worked as a mathematics teacher for 4 years. I spent the first 3 years at Summer Creek High School, teaching Algebra 2 Adv and Algebra 2 Level. I transferred to Kingwood High School for this school year, 2024-2025, and I am teaching Algebra 1 Level. In this position, I have learned valuable skills such as time and project management, data collection and analysis, and public communication. I typically am in charge of 130-170 students per year, teaching 6 classes a day. A percentage of those students each year have special designations which ask for accommodations and modifications that I plan into my lessons daily. This ensures that students who have learning disabilities still get the instruction they need and the help they deserve.In this position, I have had the opportunity to work with students from all backgrounds and walks of life. This also includes differentiating instruction to meet all students where they are. Whether they are hard working GT students or bottom of the barrel kids, I pride myself on being there for everyone and giving my all to any student who walks through my door. In 2023-2024, I was Team Lead for Adv Algebra 2.
