Azure Site Recovery (Disaster Recovery as a Service)Hyper-V to Azure Scenario:Responsible for the Hyper-V (VMM and non-VMM deployments) to Azure disaster recovery scenario. Owned the full stack (data plane, control plane and management plane) for protection of Hyper-V virtual machines to Microsoft Azure. Owned all the phases including development, testing, release, deployment and monitoring. Owned 24X7 monitoring of service to improve MTTD (mean time to detect), MTTM (mean time to mitigate) and MTTR (mean time to resolve) issues encountered in production. Tracked the quality of service (QoS) and created actionable plans to improve the QoS month over month. Worked with the program management team to monitor the business, prioritize new feature enhancements and plan the work in the upcoming monthly releases. Worked with customer support team to ensure the support cases are resolved within the SLAsAzure To Azure Scenario:Gateway micro service for Azure IaaS VM disaster recovery. Worked with the architects on the overall design of the feature. Lead a group of engineers who prototyped, designed and implemented the micro service. Collaborated with program management team and engineering managers who owned other components in the scenario to define the inter service contracts. Own all the phases including development, testing, release, deployment and monitoring. Owned 24X7 monitoring of service to improve MTTD (mean time to detect), MTTM (mean time to mitigate) and MTTR (mean time to resolve) issues encountered in production.As a team leader, responsible for coaching and growing team members. Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016As a member of Windows Hyper-V Replica team, delivered near synchronous VM replication feature in Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016. Hyper-V Replica feature allows customers to replicate VMs running in a primary Hyper-V cluster or standalone servers to a recovery Hyper-V cluster or standalone server and failover in case of any downtime in the primary environment.o Designed multi-VM group replication and support for guest cluster replication with shared disks in Hyper-V platform.o Led a group of engineers to work on the implementation of multi-VM replication feature.o Developed core infrastructure pieces in Hyper-V platform for the multi-VM replication feature.o Worked on the extended replication feature for Hyper-V virtual machine.o Worked on the Hyper-V Replica WMI API and powershell interface.

Windows Core Storage:As a member of Windows Core Storage team, worked on multiple Windows OS releases starting from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012. Windows Server 2012Key contributor to a brand new feature “Storage Spaces” which virtualizes storage backed by commodity disks and provides richer capabilities like RAID, thin provisioning, multi-tier support etc.o Implemented the thin provisioning support in kernel mode driver.o Defined and implemented the IOCTLs used to provision and manage storage space devices.o Owned the collaboration with user management components for storage spaces.Windows Server 2008 R2o Collaborated with SAN vendors to enhance Virtual Disk Service to provide support for storage pool management.o Added support for managing virtual disks (VHD) using Virtual Disk Service APIs. These APIs are used to manage VHDs from disk management MMC UI and diskpart.o Protocol architect for MS-VDS protocol.Windows Server 2008o Responsible for the testing and test automation of the new volume manager driver for dynamic volumes and partition manager.o Led the testing and test automation effort for all Virtual Disk Service related changes in this release.Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003 R2o Involved in the testing and test automation effort to release Virtual Disk Service and disk/volume management utilities (MMC UI/diskpart/diskraid etc.) based on the new disk/volume management APIs.
