I’m a trained graphic designer who is determined to take on the world of art education and alternative learning environments for the following reasons: 1. Creative knowledge should not be gatekept;2. Art should both belong to the community and be a part of the community; and3. Really important learning and thinking happens when we engage our minds, our hands, and our cultural histories all at once, and this should be celebrated and encouraged.I started running an underground community arts space in my own personal textile/printing studio, and facilitated opportunities for other folks in my community to share knowledge and creativity together. I am passionate about projects that bring these factors together and foster moments of discovery and self-actualisation through creative expression. I came to Museology through this interest for community education and liberation through the arts.My interests and adventurous spirit have taken me from California to Washington to rural France and back again.
