•Worked on AWS engineering and operations teams, working with feature teams to ensure the reliability, performance, monitoring, and scalability of new and existing Microservices, Restful API and AWS DevOps.•Involved in designing and deploying a multitude of applications utilizing almost all the AWS stack including EC2, Route53, S3, RDS, Dynamo DB, SNS, SQS, AMI, TaskRunner, focusing on high-availability, fault tolerance and auto-scaling in AWS cloud formation• Created Vault for my team to store secrets and it creates a multi-region deployment of Vault. All regions contain a primary and standby node (in the form of an EC2 instance), each region is individually coordinated by a local (to that region) DynamoDB table. Secret data is stored in a globally replicated DynamoDB table, each regional primary node reads from their local regional replica of the secret data - we ensure that this is in sync with other nodes by disabling Vault internal caching.• Deployed infrastructure codebase that can provision a Jenkins 2 LTS setup suited for the most common use-cases of a squad in the Access tribe. On provision, it would start building the 'master' branch and any open Pull Requests on the pattern of repositories specified. This setup itself is not containerised but supports running containers as may be defined in a Pipeline's tasks.• Pipelines have been written with the assumption that there will be a Jenkins server in each environment, the same as we have for Concourse. Configured within this Jenkins server are Global Parameters that are unique for that environment, for example the environment identifier and AWS account id. Doing this should hopefully make reusing the Jenkins files across environments easier.•Worked on a terraform repo which is a environment type depending on required components. Where possible we use Terraform modules (either from the official registry or linked to a private git repo) with a rule of maximum 1 depth.
