👋 Hi there! I'm Brendan, a first-year Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo eagerly seeking my first co-op opportunity. With a strong GPA of 3.96 and a passion for both front-end and back-end development, I'm driven to contribute effectively to innovative projects and gain practical experience in the tech industry.🛠️ Currently, I'm engaged in a couple of exciting projects:1️⃣ DailyGlow: As a Full-stack Web Developer and Designer, I'm deeply involved in crafting a personalized hygiene reminder web application. Leveraging my skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, I've spearheaded the development of both the front end and back end, ensuring seamless user experiences.2️⃣ NeuralScan: Here, I've delved into machine learning, employing TensorFlow and Python to create a robust model for detecting brain tumours from MRI images. Alongside this, I've also crafted a user-friendly web interface using HTML, CSS, and JS to make the technology accessible and impactful.🎓 In addition to my academic pursuits, I've gained valuable experience through volunteering, notably at St. Mary’s Hospital where I honed my communication and leadership skills while assisting in patient care and database management.🤝 Passionate about giving back to my community, I've taken on the role of Organizer for the Mandarin MS Walk, organizing fundraising events to support the MS Society's noble cause.🏅 With a strong foundation in computer science, coupled with my dedication and adaptability, I'm excited to contribute my skills and continue learning in a dynamic work environment.I am open to exploring new opportunities and collaborations.
