•Liaise with tutors to monitor the academic progress of students and act when necessary. •Designing a sequence of tutorials throughout the semester.•Conducting tutorials & scheduled consultations for Principles of Buildings (Engineering Subject).•Implementing the tutorials in an engaging manner, and tailoring them to the learning styles and needs of the university.•Designing weekly assignments that asses the students understanding of the material and following up with students that need help.•Researching relevant topics covered in a subject per week, putting these in the context of the rest of the subject and within the field at large.•Be available for unscheduled consultations by arrangement and agreement with individual students.•Maintain accurate and timely tutorial attendance records.•Report on the academic and general progress of students to the subject supervisor.•Participate in induction, training and feedback workshops when needed.

Assisting in developing structural designs of low rise concrete residential buildings.Undertaking technical and feasibility studies and site investigations;Creating Excel Sheets to automatically design RC beams, columns and footings.Using computer-aided design (CAD) packages for designing projects;
