The nonprofit world has an efficiency problem. Manual tasks suck up staff time, lead to mistakes, and drive up costs. Preventing organizations from delivering on their missions. There are countless vendors available to help with these tasks but often require building new processes around the tool and designed around the needs of for-profit companies. This ultimately makes work more difficult and more expensive. Blackbaud has been building platforms around the unique needs of nonprofit organizations for over 40 years. As a former user of our solutions, I helped higher education organizations (colleges, foundations, scholarship organizations, etc.) eliminate barriers and determine how they deliver impact, even as higher education faces headwinds.I collaborated with higher education leaders across the US, advising on the strategy to help fuel their mission. Oversaw all organizational fundraising processes, including major gifts, annual giving, campaigns, stewardship, communications, and, gift processing.I provided strategic direction to the Head of School, Board of Trustees, faculty, and volunteers to ensure continued growth to support the school’s mission and goals. Coaching these stakeholders, who were not traditional fundraisers, around their roles in engagement and building support, was easily my favorite part of the job. Assisted event planners and association executives in the selection and coordination of their largest meetings and events for 10 to 10,000 people in Springfield Missouri. Oversaw the sales process for 2 hotels, a convention center, city owned exposition space, and a luxury event space 22 stories high. All totaling over 350 hotel rooms and over 150,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.Worked internally with our convention event planners to consult, craft, and execute conventions that often generated a majority of an organization's annual revenue. By focusing on our clients' long-term goals, I was able to generate future revenue for the company while providing increased value for the organizations we partnered with. This led to increased customer satisfaction, loyalty, and increased demand.
