I am a mass communications graduate and currently a association coordinator. My desire for a creative and stable career led me to the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University. I studied mass communications with a concentration in public relations and a minor in business. During my time at LSU, I completed a visual communications class, which gave me experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Lightroom.The most valuable lesson I have learned from LSU is the importance of staying organized and aligned with deadlines. In high school, I was given assignments and their due dates as we would reach the corresponding chapters. In college, I am given multiple due dates and assignments at the beginning of the semester and have to keep track of them myself. It is easy to become overwhelmed when given many assignments at once, especially if you wait until the due date to complete them. Staying organized and keeping a planner on me has taught me to maintain structure and punctuality in a fast-paced work environment with multiple tasks and short deadlines so I can turn in my work knowing I did my best.During my time at LSU, I completed a social media internship with Modern Mom Enterprises where I gained experience on different social platforms including WordPress, MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram and Canva.
