Safety Watch
CurrentWhen industrial facilities (petrochemical plants, refineries, oil sands facilities, etc.) shut down for regular maintenance, often called “turn-arounds”, hundreds (or thousands) of workers come onsite to clean, inspect and repair the tanks, vessels and equipment. Our job is to keep those workers safe by regularly testing for hazardous gases, keeping eyes on them when they are working in “confined spaces”, supplying them with clean “breathing air” from our pressurized air systems, and ensuring fires don’t spark-up from welding activities. These are the duties of a Safety Watch.
