Entrepreneurial leader with extensive financial services experience as a senior investment banker and commercial banking executive covering multiple financial technology industries including Consumer, Mortgage and Student Lending, as well as TMT, and Energy. Chief Operating Officer for SouthEast Bank, and Head the Mortgage Division and Education Loan Finance (ELFI) Division, a national online student lending business. Built ELFI into a top 5 leading company in the student loan refinancing industry with over $2.4Bn in origination volume. Responsible for all facets of the start-up enterprise, including ELFI's technology platform build, operations, business development, marketing and finance. Developed the student loan business at Morgan Stanley into an industry leading franchise and created the financial framework for the national online student loan refinancing market in 2012/13. Served as lead banker on $75Bn of financings and $25Bn of M&A. Appointed lead advisor to US Treasury and the US Department of Education in 2008. Developed and executed the $40Bn Straight A Conduit Program to fund the student loan industry during the credit crisis. Previously a senior investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank with client coverage in Energy and TMT industries. Currently serving as National Board Member of BottomLine, a nonprofit organization assisting disadvantaged youths with college access and success.
