I was selected to participate in the Creative Communities 2023 residency program launched by Fondazione Matera-Basilicata 2019, alongside four other professionals.During the six-week residency, my colleagues and I collaborated with two cultural enterprises from Basilicata and engaged with the local communities to imagine a new type of cultural centre for the community that aligns with the aspirations and needs of inland rural areas. We lived in the communities of Balvano, Filiano, Latronico, and Miglionico, to identify needs and gather proposals for cultural infrastructures. We engaged the local communities to co-design a model of a cultural/community center focused on a library, while also providing ancillary services to meet the specific needs of the community.

Following Mark Makers Phase 1, The Pollokshields Trust has secured funding from Architecture+Design Scotland under their Making Places scheme, to carry out a community-led design process that aims to deliver a future visions masterplan for a neglected area in East Pollokshields. Masterplan to be delivered by 31st March 2019.As Community Design Coordinator, my role involves to develop all background researches, drawings and model to use as tools for the public consultations and to be the point of contact with the community and stakeholders.General Tasks• Managing Public Consultations and meeting with local stakeholders• Model making• Preparation of documentation for further Funding Applications• Developed research drawings• Editing full final Report

Collaborating on developing tasks on bespoke residential projects. Working in an office environment, I had the opportunity to meet with clients, following residential projects from early stage, undertaking buildings surveys, developing concept design and working on planning application drawings.

As Project and Site Coordinator I run a small and locally funded community project, coordinating all aspects of the build and design process, while undertaking the community interface. I attended meeting with Contractors, Community Associations, Supplies Providers, while supervising the on-site installation of infrastructure for the Community-based project.
