Quality/Warranty Dct Lead For Tape And Automation
• Responsible for managing quality and controlling warranty costs for IBM tape drive and automation products• Retained OEM quality and reporting role from previous position• Lead weekly Quality/Warranty Development Core Team for Tape and Automation including representatives from PFE, Development, Manufacturing, Service Planning, Project Office, Procurement and others as needed• Identify and resolve TS4500 and associated drive and automation CIE/UIRA issues through both the Development Core Team and a separate weekly CIE/UIRA review calls• Hold separate monthly drive-only Quality calls including representatives from drive microcode development, OEM PAE, and San Jose tape teams. • Track identified issues and insure they are worked through to resolution• Prepare presentations and reported quality concerns and statuses to various levels of management on regularly scheduled weekly management and semi-weekly executive-level calls• Leading planning and execution of worldwide cross-organizational project to that required identifying and communicating with customers who may have received a potentially defective product sourced through a vendor and offer replacements.
